On Melksham Town Council

First elected in 2008 in a by-election Jon has served continuously since then.

During his time on the council Jon has served in a number of roles including the Policy and Resources Committee, Asset Management Committee, Deputy Town Mayor and Town Mayor.

During his time on the council Jon has championed community causes including getting the Lorry Park removed from King Street carpark, fighting against speeding traffic, improving and developing play areas and reaching out to those coping with social isolation.
