Three new pedestrian crossings are to be installed to made access safer for children to the new Oak Park Community School due to open next year.

One will be within my ward on Spa Road, by the roundabout with Snowberry Lane and Campion Drive. The other crossings will be on the A365 on the approach to the school.

A copy of the plans showing the locations of the crossings may be inspected at the offices of the Corporate Director for Transport, Environment and Leisure, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.  Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Melksham Town Council, Town Hall, Market Place, Melksham, between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.00 pm Monday to Friday until 14th September 2009.

Comments on the proposal together with the reasons for which they are made, should be sent in writing to reach GEORGE BATTEN, Corporate Director for Transport, Environment and Leisure, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge BA14 8JN by 14th September 2009 quoting reference LJH/TRO/MELK/HY296.
