Wiltshire Council have sent out a Notice under the Road Traffic Act 1984 saying that the remaining works on the traffic lights at Shaw Hill will be completed at the end of July.
This will result in the whole junction of the B3353 Corsham Road with the A365 being closed weekdays between 9.30am and 3.30pm between the 28th July and 3rd August.

Wiltshire Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Temporary Closure of: A365 Shaw Hill (Part), A365 Bath Road (Part) and B3353 Corsham Road (Part), Melksham Without (Ref: TTRO 6641) Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
a) A365 Shaw Hill (Part), Melksham Without; from its junction with Norrington Lane and to its junction with A365 Bath Road;
b) A365 Bath Road (Part), Melksham Without; from its junction with A365 Shaw Hill for a distance of approximately 370 metres in a southerly direction;
c) B3353 Corsham Road (Part), Melksham Without; from its junction with A365 Bath Road to its junction with School Lane.
To enable: Ringway to carry out refurbishment of traffic signal junction.
Alternative route for (a) to (b): via A365 (unaffected length) – A350 – A4 and vice versa.
Alternative Route for (c): via B4553 (unaffected length) – A4 – A365 and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This which previously came into operation on 13 April 2020 will now recommence on 28 July 2020 and the closure will be required weekdays between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 until 03 August 2020. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
