It's great news for Melksham that the announcement of the creation of a business plan for a new Melksam bypass will now go ahead.
I spoke to Ben Prator on BBC Wiltshire about this today and welcomed the news.
We had hoped to see this happen last year but just missed out, so yesterday's announcement is welcome news indeed.
Now we need to make sure they get the route right and sweep right round the town and not put all the traffic onto Eastern Way and through a residential area.
